"How we strengthened our newspaper through digital transformation – a Dutch case story": This is the name of a presentation by NDC Media Group's marketing director Peter Idema, who will be speaking on 6 February.

Idema will discuss the concern's digital experience up until now, and explain how it has formed the basis for its future strategy. What went wrong? What worked well? By providing examples, facts and figures, Idema will share the media company's work with one of the most interesting questions for newspapers today: How can we ensure an effective digital transformation? Hear why reader involvement is important, and why targeted marketing is crucial when presenting readers with new digital possibilities.

This year's DagsVara conference, which is organised by the international World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers, or WAN-IFRA, will address digital growth strategies. Representatives from leading media companies will be present to share their thoughts on digital business strategies.

The themes at this year's conference include: The development of paid content; new revenue sources that supplement subscriptions and advertisements; new and effective methods for producing printed newspapers; personalised content; and much, much more for the digital newspaper world.

Among those scheduled to present at the conference are representatives from the newspapers Hallandsposten, Sydsvenskan and Expressen.
