DIGITAL STRATEGY: New apps for the Norwegian magazines Costume and Tara are designed to help subscribers become accustomed to reading the publications digitally.

With the launch of new apps for the magazines Costume and Tara, Bonnier Media hopes to provide readers with a better experience on digital platforms.

"We're always working to develop better products for our readers. By creating apps for Tara and Costume, we're trying to adapt to our readers' needs, and we hope our efforts are well received. Our magazines will be available to our readers no matter where or when they want to access them. This can lead to more satisfied customers, who will become even more tied to our products and brands," says Bonnier Media's eCommerce Manager in Norway, Thien Than.

Even if countless signs point to an increasingly digital future, Thien refuses to bid farewell to the printed versions of the publications.

"Initially, it's about gathering knowledge and experience regarding the way in which our readers are using digital platforms. At the same time, it's important that our readers acquire a few habits in the way they use the products on our digital platforms. The future will certainly be dominated by digital platforms, but there will still be room for paper. The most important thing, though, is to create the best content on the customers' terms, regardless of whether its digital or printed matter."

The digital versions of the magazines are identical to the printed editions, and the media company is thus continuing the strategy it started with I Form and Illustreret Videnskab, whose apps were also developed in partnership with Visiolink.

"We chose Visiolink as a supplier because their solutions make production more efficient and save money," says Thien Than.

Costume is Norway's largest fashion magazine and has a print circulation of 36,738. The target group consists of women between the ages of 18 and 39.

Tara is a lifestyle magazine aimed at women aged 40 and older. It is Norway's largest women's magazine and has a print circulation of 47,316.
