The new iOS app from Schleswig-Holsteinischer Zeitungsverlag, commonly known as SH:Z, is now live and available for download. Get a sneak peek of the app in our video tour and hear what the people from SH:Z has to say about their new app.
The new SH:Z app is based on our latest ePaper publishing solution - News Modules - which is designed to give you the freedom to display all your digital content in one app. This is something SH:Z has made full use of.
"In developing our new SH:Z ePaper app, we have tried to take up these opportunities and offer our readers a new, more dynamic reader experience,” explains Stefanie Streicht, Digital Project Manager at mh:n digital.
The new app is loaded with all kinds of content in addition to the replica edition. It contains modules with live news from the website, videos, editorial inserts and supplements, an archive with earlier publications and much, much more.
UPDATE: Since the launch of the new app, sh:z has been experiencing increases on pretty much all parameters - from publication downloads to ad revenues. Read more about it here.

Using a smartphone?
If you are using the SH:Z app on a smartphone, you may notice that the interface differs from what's shown in the video. But fear not, your phone doesn't need to be replaced. SH:Z is simply the first to go live with our Mobile Edition add-on.
"The devices are getting faster and more handy and you have them everywhere you go. That's why we offer our readers the news optimized for the smartphone with the new Mobile Edition," explains Nicolas L. Fromm, Managing Director at SH:Z.
